Welcome to Pack 909!

There are several Cub Scout packs in the McKinney area, so we're so glad you found your home here at Pack 909!

The first thing you'll need to do is get connected on my.scouting.org and Scoutbook—the official BSA tools used to manage your Scout’s registration, track advancement, communicate with leaders, and stay up to date on pack activities.

Then, join our private Facebook group for the latest Pack 909-specific updates, upcoming events, and a closer look at the fun in store for our Scouts every week.

Fundraising is a GREAT way to easily cover the costs of Scouting!

We never want family finances to stand in the way of your child becoming a Scout. Financial assistance is also available. If costs (fees, uniforms, activities) are a concern, contact the Treasurer or Committee Chair. No Scout should be excluded due to financial limitations.

Parent Expectations

Cub Scouts is a family program, and parent involvement is essential.

We aim to have more volunteers than positions. A strong program depends on shared effort—when families contribute, Scouts benefit.

Safeguarding Youth Training (Required)

All adult volunteers must complete Safeguarding Youth Training. All adults share responsibility for keeping Scouts safe. Key principles:

Chartered Organization

Pack 909 is chartered by First Christian Church of McKinney, which sponsors and supports the pack. Membership in the church is not required.

Religion in Scouting

Scouting is non-sectarian and open to all families.

If you have concerns, please contact pack leadership.

Fundraising

Fundraising helps Scouts contribute to their own Scouting experience.

This helps teach responsibility, goal-setting, and work ethic.
